The return of Obiken
Three rounds, 15-12-and 9 reps, for time of:
135 pound barbell Thrusters
45 pound weighted Pull-ups
For weighted pull-ups, placing a 45 pound dumbbell between the legs above crossed ankles works great.
Had to alter some of the weights to:
30Kg barbell thrusters
12Kg Dumb-bell weighted pull- ups
Time: 9 mins 53 secs.
Ahh the smell of a good return workout. Getting back into it after the weekend of drink and ................... .

Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of:
35 pound dumbbell clean and press (or jerk),
10 reps1 ascent, 15 foot rope (or 7 pull-ups)
Had to substitute some of the weights to:
12kg dumbbells
7 pull-ups
Sets: 8 + 10 cleans
Just back from an extremely lazy weekend in the highlands. It was amazing and that doesnt do it any justice. Anyway back to work and training today and it showed that I hadnt done any training. Feel better for it now though and im back on track so give me more crossfit.

Had to substitute the dead lift for kettle bell swings and alter some of the weight on the cleans.

72 Kg bench press
Time 31 mins 20 secs.
Oh man what a session today. Managed to recruit another staff member to try it today and he now has his own blog. Nearly passed out a couple of times doing this today.... those Kbell swings really duff me. Well done to big D for an awsome effort.

The bad day

7 Muscle-ups
225-pound Deadlift15 reps
Row 1000 meters
I had to substitute the muscle ups and deadlifts for:
21 chins & 21 dips
20Kg kettle bell swings 15 reps
1000 metre row
Really struggled today for some reason but you all know what it is like once you get started... You dont want to give in and feel as though you failed so I just got angry instead and it worked....but im F##*ed now ha ha!
Time: 32 mins 03 secs.
Well done davie.... I see you did it quicker than me again ya big shit :-)

The channel crossing
10 Km Row for time
Time: 46 mins 38 seconds
Felt like it was a channel crossing with lots of waves hitting me but then I realised it was all the sweat pouring out of me. Got some pics of it but will need to wait till I get them developed. Got a real motivational boost today........ was 11st 7lbs on Tuesday and today I am 11st 3lbs.

Sciving
Me and davie at Irvine today. Tried out his new 24kg kettle bell outside in the sand, excellent! ..... cant wait till the weather gets better and we can get to train outside more especially on the beach. No real training today though.

A smaller workout in comparison to usual but heh just as good. Followed it up with:
7 rounds of 10 concise cruches on stability ball
7 rounds of 12 Side raises on stability ball.
Me and davie at it again, could grow to hate him as he did it so much quicker than me (well done matie). Getting onto this eating thingy also..... Im calling it "davie syndrome" ha ha.

Getting Started
Ok I have been training with my mate at work doing crossfit training for a few months now but he is right into it and what a change there has been to him..... Lucky git that he is. Anyway will keep up-to-date with the upcoming attempts at trying to keep up with him.
